A seasoned writer, Lauren is currently working on her first book, a memoir. At the heart of her story is a healing journey through complex family dynamics, shocking discoveries, releasing the grip of perfectionism, and her experience living with PTSD. Through her writing, Lauren fosters connection and community, sharing her perspective and illustrating the transformative power of shared experience.

With an emphasis on nonprofit and political events driven toward social change and supporting underserved communities, Lauren channels over 20 years of experience as a leader in the event industry toward a commitment to creating meaningful, impactful experiences that align with each client’s unique vision. Social events and weddings are designed and produced through her business, Curate Plan Style.

As a progressive advocate and grass roots community organizer, Lauren contributes to initiatives that promote systemic transformation and social justice. Currently, she is working with the forthcoming Connect Forward Super PAC and is active in the Illinois gun violence prevention movement. Her grassroots efforts were recently dedicated to the 2024 Harris-Walz Campaign. Rooted in her personal journey as a mother and as a sexual assault survivor, her advocacy work focuses on issues that matter deeply to many, including gender-based violence, LGBTQ+ rights, equity in public education, antiracism, and advocating for safer communities.
Lauren’s advocacy is driven by a commitment to fostering a more just society, creating actionable change, and amplifying the voices of under-resourced and marginalized communities. Through strategic collaboration and relentless advocacy, Lauren is helping to shape a more inclusive future.
